I express these in the hopes changes can be made that would benefit all users. I also believe it is important to let you know when you have done something right. One fact of life for all VisionIP users is that there will be database schema changes. While some users make more than others, all users will eventually have them. We happened to make changes to our production environment last night. We were concerned we would break our CONIX system because of these changes. I had expected we would need to run a program to create a new file to be used to access our data from VisionIP. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out the system was designed to allow database schema changes without any intervention required on our CONIX system. The process to support database schema changes as described by Richard [Gierak] is the perfect solution to this issue.
